SEVAC WINTER MEETING THREE - The Story of ELVA Cars with Jonathan Playfoot
Come along for a fun and relaxed evening as Jonathan Playfoot shares the story of ELVA Cars, a small racing car manufacturer from Bexhill-On-Sea. They sold cars around the world to many well known and famous drivers. Uniting in joint ventures with other car builders of the time.

SEVAC WINTER MEETING FOUR - Gun-founding in the Weald
Jeremy Hodgkinson, a retired schoolteacher, will deliver a talk on the history of gun-founding in the Weald. From the late 15th century, when the blast furnace was introduced into the region from the Continent, gun-founding became a speciality of some of the Weald’s furnaces. The talk will trace this development, detailing the technology and the personalities involved in a trade that made the Weald prominent until the 1760s.

SEVAC SPRING MEETING - The R101 Airship Disaster
Jim Hatfield will discuss how government interference and pressure during the design and launch of the ambitious R101 airship resulted in tragedy, with the loss of 42 lives on a stormy night in October 1930.
